Note: If it’s been fewer than 10 days since you upgraded to Windows 10, your previous version of Windows will be listed as a system file you can you need to free up drive space, you can delete it, but keep in mind that you’ll be deleting your folder, which contains files that give you the option to go back to your previous version of Windows. This is becoming extremely irritating, on certain occasions, the PC has been virtually unusable due to disk usage, and Windows often displays wretched performance. Performing a clean boot did not solve the problem. Sometimes cutting off the internet drops the high usage, but other times, it does not help either. I have run out of ideas on how to solve this issue. Chkdsk and other disk checks do not report any error.

Could anyone suggest a remedy for this? Barring a system reset Subsequent updates have had no positive results. Hello, I ran Scannow, and it reported some corrupt files which it could not repair. Checking the log file, it says OpenCl. In reply to tigrisofgod’s post on January 5, I had the same problem and tried all of the above with little or no improvement. I finally decided that Chrome, which I have been using for years, is the problem. An uninstall would tie it up for over an hour and then finally release its hold.

After an uninstall and rerunning all diags and fixes, an attempt to reinstall gave me the same results. I’m back to using IE until I find this is sorted out or someone has a permanent solution.
